NESIR
Founded in 1966, the New England Society of Interventional Radiology is a 501(c)(6) professional organization for all interested parties in the field of Interventional Radiology. Our purpose includes:
- Promoting, improving, and advancing the science of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology;
- Encouraging and improving the continuing education for radiologists, technologists, nurses, and non-physician practitioners;
- Promoting the establishment and maintenance of high medical and ethical standards in the practice of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology;
- Encouraging the improvement of radiological services to patients and the medical community; and
- Carrying on such other lawful activities for which a nonprofit corporation may be formed under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General laws.
The current NESIR bylaws are now available here. They were accepted by a unanimous vote by the present quorum at the October 14, 2008 meeting.
